This study traces back to the historic achievement of the Chinese Taipei men's badminton team, which won the bronze medal at the 2024 Sudirman Cup. Several players from this team were once the researcher's teammates during their playing days, evoking memories of their participation in the "Chang Cheng Junior Cup" during high school. The statue of Chang Cheng frequently appeared at the competition venues, sparking the researcher's deep interest and curiosity about this key figure in the badminton world. Consequently, this study aims to delve into Chang Cheng's coaching career, highlighting his significant contributions and lasting impact on badminton in Taiwan. By analyzing Chang Cheng's career, the study explores his role in the development of Taiwanese badminton and his close connection with Xiluo High School. The research primarily adopts a historical research method, collecting and analyzing relevant historical documents, newspaper articles, and interview materials to gain a deeper understanding of Chang Cheng's life and career. Special emphasis is placed on how he elevated the Xiluo High School badminton team to the national and international stage, as well as his self-developed training system and the strict requirements he imposed on the team.
